Front of House Receptionist, Guernsey

Our client is a charming boutique hotel known for its traditional hospitality and excellent standard of guest care. Based in a scenic Guernsey location, they provide a relaxed yet professional environment for both guests and staff. They are currently looking for an efficient Front of House Receptionist to join their front office team.

The Role
This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests, managing the daily flow of arrivals, departures, and inquiries. The position requires a sharp eye for detail and a practical approach to customer service.

• Working Hours: 42 hours per week, scheduled on a departmental rota across a 6-day work week. This includes 2.5 hours per week for meal breaks.
• Shift Pattern: Straight shifts only, working from 6:45 AM to 2:00 PM and/or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
• Overtime: Up to 8 hours of reasonable overtime per week may be required. Overtime is compensated with paid time off in lieu for every completed additional hour worked.

Key Terms & Benefits
• Accommodation: On-site food and lodgings are available if required, subject to availability, charged at a fixed monthly rate for single or double rooms.
• Public Holidays: Working a public holiday entitles the employee to a day off in lieu in addition to normal pay, to be taken before 31 October of that year.
• Holiday Entitlement: 18 days paid holiday per year (exclusive of Bank Holidays) after completing 12 months of continuous service. Initial holiday entitlement begins after a minimum period of 3 months.

The ideal candidate brings clear communication skills, a professional demeanor, and previous experience in a front-of-house or hospitality environment. You should be comfortable working a structured rota and handling guest requests confidently.
