Sewing Machinist, Guernsey

Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of equipment for the repair and hot vulcanization of damage in all tyres and conveyor belts is seeking to recruit a Sewing Machinist, Guernsey. This role is also open for candidates who are willing to relocate to Guernsey.

Key responsibilities will include;

• To fabricate covers for the range of flat and cylinder air bags manufactured in-house
• Working with senior machinist, ensure covers are completed to meet order deadlines
• Fabrication to be in line with designs and drawings
• Fabrication completed to meet customer or business requirement
• Visually check work for defects and report to Supervisor
• Keep aware of customer orders and if necessary, identify any low or out of stock items to Factory Manager and/or Supervisor
• To undertake other tasks or duties as required by the Factory Manager

The successful candidate will have:

• Good manual dexterity
• Commitment to good quality standards.
• Previous sewing machine experience (desirable)
• Experience of working in an industrial environment (desirable)
