Hospitality Couple (Sous Chef and Assistant Head Housekeeper), Guernsey

Our client is a beautiful 3* hotel in town seeking to recruit a Hospitality Couple to work as a Sous Chef and Assistant Head Housekeeper, Guernsey.

Sous Chef:

• Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
• Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
• Fill in for the Executive or Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers

Assistant Head Housekeeper:

• Change bed linen and make beds
• Replace used towels
• Sweep and mop floors
• Vacuum carpets
• Dust furniture
• Replenish bath care products (e.g. soap and shampoo)
• Restock beverages and food items in the mini-bar
• Clean public areas, like corridors
• Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
• Address guests’ queries
